Urine test could reveal prostate cancer: Karolinska Institutet
A study by researchers from Karolinska Institutet indicates that prostate cancer can be diagnosed at an early stage through a simple urine sample.
With the aid of AI and extensive analyses of gene activity in tumors, the researchers have identified new biomarkers of high diagnostic precision.
The new biomarkers surpass the diagnostic accuracy of the currently used blood biomarker, PSA, and could potentially reduce the number of unnecessary prostate biopsies in healthy men.
