Proposed Fort Worth Budget Exceeds $4.5 Billion, Includes Slightly Lower Tax Rate, Higher Fees

The budget includes a 0.25 cent tax rate reduction but raises fees by $56.88 annually, funding new EMS positions and increasing public safety spending by $35.4 million, officials said.

A homeowner with the average taxable home value will pay about $20 less on their tax bill. But that reduction will be more than made up for by higher service fees.
