Propedix Announces Appointment of Dr. Mercedes E. Gonzalez to Its Clinical Advisory Board
The appointment adds pediatric dermatology expertise as Propedix develops topical treatments and antifungal products, with launches planned throughout 2026.
On Friday, May 15, 2026, Propedix appointed pediatric dermatologist Dr. Mercedes E. Gonzalez to its Clinical Advisory Board, effective immediately, to advance the company's topical dermatology and antifungal treatment initiatives.
The board focuses on advancing topical dermatology treatments using Propedix's proprietary DryStik delivery technology to expand anti-fungal and anti-pathogen treatment capabilities for patients with fungal skin conditions.
Gonzalez serves on the American Board of Dermatology and directs Pediatric Skin Research, LLC, while holding academic appointments at Florida International University Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine and University of Miami Miller School of Medicine.
"Her deep pediatric dermatology expertise and leadership in research and education will be invaluable," said Dr. Carl Schanbacher, Founder and Chief Medical Officer of Propedix, regarding the appointment.
Expanding their product pipeline, Propedix anticipates 2026 launches for Foot Anti-Perspirant, Jock Itch, Ring Worm, and Candida products, building on the clinical success of Dryello for Athletes Foot.
