- The New York Times and The Wall Street Journal reported Saturday that Platner's wife, Amy Gertner, told former aide Genevieve McDonald about the explicit messages, fearing they could become a political liability.
- Platner also faces scrutiny over a chest tattoo resembling a Nazi symbol, which he disavowed and covered last year, drawing praise from Rep. Seth Moulton but condemnation from Rep. Jake Auchincloss.
