(Osiana (Asiana), Castle, Saint Procopius, Başhisar, Urgup, Ürgüp) Prokopje (i) is a city in Cappadocia in Asia Minor. Prokopje or Agios Prokopios is an area that is one of the important centers of the Cappadocia region. POSITION Prokopje stretched out, built at an altitude of 1200 m, in the valley of the river Tamisu, 60 km west of Caesarea and 20 km east of Neapolis (Nevsehir). The city was designated a UNESCO natural heritage site.
