Merseyside Police Seek John Lee Riley After HMP Altcourse Release Error
Police say John Lee Riley, 49, was released in error while serving an assault sentence and they are urging anyone with information to call 101.
On Monday, June 8, 49-year-old John Lee Riley was mistakenly released early from HMP Altcourse in Liverpool due to an administrative blunder, prompting Merseyside Police to launch an urgent search for the convicted assault offender.
Riley is described as 5ft 7in tall, slim, with grey hair and blue eyes, speaking with a Liverpool accent, and has known connections to Cheshire, Widnes, Wirral, and Crewe.
He was last seen wearing a black jumper bearing 'Jack Jones' on the front, grey jogging bottoms with writing on the left and rear pocket, and black and white Puma trainers.
Inspector Steve Reilly urged public assistance, stating: "Let us know if you have any information and we will act swiftly to ensure he's found as quickly as possible."
