Teacher Allegedly Filmed Hundreds of Kids Using Toilets
Police say the former year 3 teacher is now facing 16 charges after prosecutors allege he filmed 357 children in school toilets.
On Friday, 33-year-old teacher Timothy Blamires appeared in Melbourne Magistrates Court, where charge sheets revealed he now faces 16 counts for allegedly filming children at Kingswood Primary School.
Blamires allegedly installed spy cameras inside fragrance dispensers in school toilets between October 2025 and April 2026, secretly recording more than 350 children without their knowledge.
Court documents allege he filmed 282 children across three dates in October 2025, with an additional 75 children recorded in March 2026, totaling more than 357 victims.
Defence lawyers presented a plea offer to resolve the case, leading Magistrate Leon Fluxman to adjourn the hearing until November 20 to allow prosecutors time to review.
Suspended by the Victorian Institute of Teaching, Blamires remains in custody after being denied bail earlier this year, with authorities citing difficulties enforcing internet access bans.
