Prescribed burns at Steamboat Front may begin within week

Routt National Forest is planning prescribed burns this spring in the Steamboat Front project area. The area is approximately 200 acres near Harrison Creek. It is south of U.S. Highway 40, in the vicinity of Lake Catamount, on the western national forest boundary of Rabbit Ears Pass.
