Prep track and field: Area athletes produce top state qualifying marks

CORYDON — The Van Buren County track and field team didn't have to wait long on Thursday to clinch a trip to state.

State track and field qualifiers from each area school

The high school track and field state qualifying meets took place on Thursday, May 15. Across the state all teams were in action to determine who will be representing their school at the state tournament beginning on Thursday, May 22. Here is the list of athletes from local schools that were amongst the top 24 in the state in their respective events.

State Track Preview: Seven events on to State

In Class 1A only the winner from each State qualifier receives an automatic bid and the rest of the field are at large bids.
