The Cabell Midland junior righthander came within a leadoff double of a no-hitter and struck out 15 Wednesday to lead the Knights (20-3) to a 2-0 victory over Hurricane (20-4) in an eight-inning winner's bracket game in the Class AAAA, Region IV, Section 1 high school softball tournament.
