Former Meigs High School football coach Charles Chancey died Saturday. He was 88. Chancey was the first coach at Meigs High School, which opened in 1970 as a consolidation of Middleport, Pomeroy and Rutland high schools. Chancey coached four seasons at Pomeroy High before taking the Meigs job.
