Preliminary 3.5 magnitude earthquake hits near Big Bear
An earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 3.5 struck Southern California on Saturday, in the mountains of San Bernardino County. According to the U.S. Geological Survey, the quake struck at 2:46 p.m. with an epicenter 13 miles south of Big Bear City. As of 2:55 p.m., there were no reports of damages or injuries. A 3.5 magnitude earthquake shook the area of Cabazon on Saturday, according to the United States Geological Survey. The earthquake shook the unincorporated community of Riverside County at 3:22 p.m. at a depth of 10.1 km. It was recorded about 18 km north of Cabazon, according to the USGS.
