A yellow warning is in effect for lightning in South Iceland. A meteorologist says the lightning has mostly been confined to the southernmost part of the country before noon, but the weather is moving west. The news agency has reported lightning in Mosfellsbær this afternoon, and a power outage was also reported in Þorlákshöfn.
There is a power outage in Þorlákshöfn and everything indicates that lightning struck and caused the power outage.
