STARZ Orders ‘Power: Legacy’ as Tariq and Tommy Reunite in New Power Series
Starz ordered eight episodes as the franchise expands with a new chapter that follows Tommy and Tariq after their reunion in the Force finale.
- Starz officially ordered 'Power: Legacy,' an eight-episode drama reuniting Joseph Sikora as Tommy Egan and Michael Rainey Jr. as Tariq St. Patrick in New York City.
- This spinoff follows years of fan speculation intensified by a post-credits scene in the 2024 'Power Book II: Ghost' finale and Tariq's surprise appearance in the 'Power Book IV: Force' series finale in January 2026.
- Gary Lennon, who most recently concluded his run as showrunner of 'Power Book IV: Force,' will showrun and executive produce alongside Curtis '50 Cent' Jackson, with Lionsgate Television co-producing.
- Unlike previous series that were licensed, this co-production model allows Starz to participate fully in ancillary revenue opportunities. Kathryn Busby, President of Original Programming at Starz, said the franchise 'evolves with its audience.'
- The 'Power' Universe has accumulated more than 2 billion hours viewed globally, with 'Force' delivering record-setting growth of 57%, while 'Power Book III: Raising Kanan' returns June 12th.
