Bird flu confirmed in Stutsman County
(STUTSMAN COUNTY, ND) — State officials have confirmed the presence of bird flu in a Stutsman County backyard chicken flock. The North Dakota Department of Agriculture Commissioner Doug Goehring says it is the first case found in poultry this year. The premises have been quarantined, and domestic birds within a six-point-two-mile control zone will be contacted and monitored to prevent the spread of bird flu.
