Search and rescue volunteers in West Kelowna say their search for a missing kayaker was called off after a few hours Friday night.

Central Okanagan Search and Rescue (COSAR) was called to Okanagan Lake on Friday night to assist in looking for a missing person. In a Facebook post, COSAR says West Kelowna RCMP were notified at approximately 8 p.m. of an overturned kayak. “First responders were on the scene within minutes and COSAR, as an emergency responder, was asked to join in.
