Portugal has the 3rd highest increase in house prices in Q4 2024

Eurostat estimates an increase of 4.2% in house prices in the eurozone, in year-on-year terms, and 4.9% in the European Union. In Portugal, the increase more than doubled: 11.6%.

Compared to the third quarter of 2024, according to the European statistical service, house prices increased 0.6% in the euro area and 0.8% in the EU, between October and December, with Portugal again having the third highest (3.0%)

Residential property prices in the euro area were 4.2 percent more expensive in the last quarter of last year, and in the EU by 4.9 percent, compared with the same period last year. The growth was faster than in the third quarter, when prices rose by 2.7 percent and 3.9 percent year-on-year, Eurostat announced today.
