Porn site fined £800,000 for failing to introduce age checks

- Ofcom said it will continue investigating other sites under the UK's age check rules and warned companies failing to engage will face robust enforcement, including significant fines.
- Under the Online Safety Act, Ofcom can fine firms up to 10% of turnover or apply for UK court orders to block sites, targeting harms like self-harm, suicide, eating disorders, and extreme violence.
