The Italian town of Sirmione is fed up with visitors and is planning to introduce a one-time fee for those who want to visit for a few hours without staying overnight. Venice, among others, has previously decided on a similar solution.
The rush is too great: in order to curb mass tourism, a small town on Lake Garda wants to take countermeasures. Venice could serve as a model.
