The reasons for the great flight of the Poles are shameful for Britain — Daily Mail: EADaily
EADaily, December 13th, 2025. The Great Polish Exodus: The arrival of 100,000 Poles changed the face of Britain, but now they are returning home en masse in search of a better life in their prosperous homeland. David Jones writes about this in a column for the Daily Mail.
British media have noted the exodus of Poles from the UK. Reasons cited include declining service quality, rising living costs, and crime.
"It wasn't the same Britain we came to for a better life 15 years ago," admits Sławomir Frankowski, a Pole and one of the subjects of an article in the English portal "Daily Mail." The newspaper described the "exodus" of our compatriots returning to their homeland en masse. Even the Polish Prime Minister briefly summarized the article.
Not only is there no trace of the great migrations to the United Kingdom, but the trend is actually reversed. The Polish Economic Institute has released data showing that very few Polish citizens are choosing to settle in the UK. Tens of thousands have left the country.
Around 25,000 Poles left the UK between June 2024 and June 2025, according to a report by the Polish Economic Institute (PIE). However, there is no information on the further direction of these people's migration, so it is unclear whether they returned to Poland.
