Police escorted opposition MP Zbigniew Ziobro, a former justice minister, before a parliamentary investigation committee, which originally wanted to hear the politician as a witness, but ultimately initiated his 30-day arrest.

The PiS politician has repeatedly refused to appear before the investigative committee in the Polish parliament. The issue is the use of the Pegasus spy software by the previous government.
