Suspicion: Mother stole 15,000 euros from her child's account - clear warning from the police

The police remind you that the money in a minor child's account is the child's property.

Two suspected cases of aggravated embezzlement in Fell Lapland are being considered for prosecution. Lapland police suspect that the mother transferred her child's money to her own account in 2023–2024 and used it for her own purposes. According to the police, the mother used approximately 15,000 euros of her child's funds. The mother was the child's guardian and was the only one with access to the child's account.
