FLUSHING, Queens (PIX11) – A police officer fired shots at a group of suspects who allegedly tried to steal 10 cars from a Queens autobody shop early Friday morning, according to the NYPD. Police said it happened near 33rd Avenue and Miller Street in Flushing around 5:30 a.m. When officers arrived at the location multiple people jumped into vehicles in the autobody shop, one of which drove towards officers, officials report. Around 5:30 a.m. on Friday, June 6, a Chinese-run auto repair center in Flushing was broken into by a group of masked suspects who stole several luxury cars. The police and the car theft gang had a fierce chase, and some police officers fired at the suspects, but no one was hit. Currently, two suspects have been arrested and four luxury cars have been recovered.
