Police probe after man, 20, stabbed on Edinburgh street
Police Scotland is investigating the stabbing of a 20-year-old man in Edinburgh, treating it as attempted murder while seeking witnesses and reviewing CCTV footage.
- On Monday at around 1.50am, a 20-year-old man was stabbed in the Sighthill area, and police are treating the incident as attempted murder.
- Reviewing local CCTV, doorbell and dashcam footage, detectives have been carrying out door-to-door enquiries as part of the investigation.
- Detective Sergeant Keith Morrison of Police Scotland urged anyone in Sighthill View or Sighthill Crescent between 1am and 2am on Monday to get in touch, saying 'A young man has been stabbed and seriously injured and it's imperative we trace whoever is responsible'.

- Police say they are still establishing the full circumstances and have appealed for witnesses in the Sighthill area to help the ongoing attempted-murder inquiry.
