Police officer, 19, dies after being hit by car, while attending another collision
The 19-year-old officer was struck while responding to a separate crash, and police said a 73-year-old man was arrested and later re-bailed.
- On Monday, Northumbria Police officer PC Jess Turnbull responded to a collision on the A189 near Cramlington, Northumberland, but was struck by a black Mercedes CLC and died in hospital on Wednesday.
