Savannah police investigate Betty Dr. shooting that left one injured

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) – The Savannah Police Department (SPD) is investigating an Aug. 9 shooting that left one adult male with gunshot wounds. At 1:46 a.m. SPD officers responded to the 5600 block of Betty Drive based on reports of a shooting.  Upon arrival, officers discovered a wounded victim. UPDATE: Aug. 9 at 8:30 a.m. The Lexington Police Department released additional information on the shooting that occurred on Friday at around 12:30 a.m. on National Avenue, detailing that one person died while five others were injured in the shooting.
