Police are asking drivers to avoid part of a southwestern suburb as authorities investigate a “major” crash in the area that left one person dead. Around 2 p.m., a crash occurred involving a passenger vehicle and a semi-truck near Channahon Road and Brandon Road in Joliet Township, authorities said.
