Police bail driver, 77, after woman dies in crash - Stoke-on-Trent Live
PC Alice Mayo, 29, died at the scene after a collision with a 77-year-old driver who was bailed pending further investigation by Cheshire Police.

- Off-Duty, Mayo was driving a blue Fiat 500 that collided with a white Land Rover Defender, and she had served with Cheshire Constabulary for more than six years on the Macclesfield beat.
- The woman, from Congleton, was pronounced dead at the scene after the collision on the A534 Spark Lane in Arclid near Moorhead Lane at 9am Saturday.
- Chief Constable Mark Roberts paid tribute to a dedicated, courageous colleague and asked people not to speculate while investigators work, as the local community and colleagues expressed devastation.
