- Nigeria Police Force operatives from the FID‑IRT and Kwara State Police Command arrested two suspected bandits in the Komen–Masallaci area, Kaiama Local Government Area, on Friday, December 19, 2025.
- Linked to violent crimes across Katsina, Zamfara, Niger and Kwara States, the Nigeria Police Force said the dangerous gang supplies weapons and ammunition to other criminal groups.
- Investigators recovered an AK‑47 with 20 rounds and N500,000 in cash believed to be unspent ransom, plus a red Honda Ace 125 motorcycle valued about N1.85m.
- Both suspects are cooperating with investigators to help arrest other syndicate members and recover more weapons, while Inspector‑General of Police Kayode Egbetokun praised officers and affirmed police resolve.
- Names released show Abubakar Usman, alias Siddi, 26, and Shehu Mohammadu, alias Gide, 30, were arrested and are cooperating with Nigeria Police Force investigators.
