PNP: Over 48K violators apprehended in 3-day Metro Manila Safer Cities drive
More than 48,000 violators were apprehended during the first three days of Safer Cities Initiative operations in Metro Manila, the Philippine National Police (PNP) said Thursday.
The Philippine National Police (PNP) is coordinating with the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) to prevent possible overcrowding in youth shelters amid the strict implementation of the curfew in line with the Safer Cities Initiatives. This comes after some groups expressed concern over the possible overcrowding of local Bahay Pag-asa facilities if many youths are rescued in just one night.
