KEKAHA — Pacific Missile Range Facility (PMRF) is implementing its annual Dark Skies program as Kaua‘i enters shearwater fledging season starting Sept. 15 and running through Dec. 15, a critical period for two of Hawai‘i’s most threatened seabirds: the Newell’s shearwater (‘A‘o) and Hawaiian petrel (‘Ua‘u).
