- Following integration, Phases I and II of the Ahmedabad–Gandhinagar Metro enable continuous service between Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar, advancing modern urban transport objectives under Atmanirbhar Bharat.
- The inauguration showcased station-level details and local turnout as seven stations—Mahatma Mandir, Sector-24, Sector-16, Old Secretariat, Akshardham, Secretariat, and Sector-10—opened a 7.8 km stretch, with officials riding the route amid a festive atmosphere.
- With Phases I and II integrated, daily ridership reached approximately 1.60 lakh, rising nearly 60%, and commuters now access the 28.25 km route from Motera to Mahatma Mandir.
- At the same event, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Vibrant Gujarat Regional Conference, announced 13 new smart industrial estates across seven districts, and e-inaugurated a 336-acre Medical Device Park in Rajkot.
