Ukiah High Middle College’s first Academic Decathlon Team qualified for their first State Finals on March 21-23 in Santa Clara, competing against 53 other high schools and over 500 Decathletes from across California. At their regional competition at the beginning of February, the team won fifth place overall and first place in their division. CHICO Academic decathlon Pleasant Valley High School’s academic decathlon team secured six medals Saturday and Sunday at the 2025 California Academic Decathlon in Santa Clara, according to a press release Tuesday by the Butte County Office of Education.
