Platte Canyon, Elk Creek Fire Protection Districts to receive state funding for wildfire
Colorado State Forest Service will award the $7.04 million to 37 projects in 26 counties across Colorado. One will go to Park County’s Platte Canyon Fire Protection District to support the fire fuels crew and chipper and another to Elk Creek Fire Protection District which serves Jefferson, Park and Douglas counties for the tracked chipper for the Conifer Wildland Division.
