In Chile 1,238.000 tons of plastics were consumed in 2024, which represented an increase of 7% over the previous year. The data is derived from a statistical study carried out by the Association of Plastic Industrialists (ASIPLA), which indicates that the increase was driven by the mining and agriculture industries.
