Months After Murders, Plant City Police Say Woman Killed Her Mother, 2 Children Before Taking Own Life
Investigators said digital evidence and camera footage showed Haley Dempsey killed three relatives before shooting herself, while her 2-year-old daughter survived.

- Surveillance footage showed Dempsey leaving her residence at 5:35 a.m. on May 3 with her three children after fatally shooting her mother inside the home in Hillsborough, Florida.
- Digital evidence pointed to possible mental illness as investigators reconstructed her movements through neighborhood security cameras and Ring doorbell recordings. Husband Jay Dempsey was ruled out as a suspect after detectives confirmed he was traveling on Interstate 4 during the incident.
- Plant City Police Chief Richard Mills said the department withheld investigative details to protect witness statements and evidence integrity. "This is a tragedy that has deeply affected two families, our community, and the men and women of the Plant City Police Department," Mills said.
