The fall occurs in the midst of a global deterioration of learning. Almost 8 out of 10 Argentine students do not reach the basic level in Mathematics; they are 6 out of 10 in Reading and Science. The country was eighth in Latin America and is one of the most backward in the region since 2022.
The country was among the last of the international assessment: 76 per cent of the students did not reach the basic level in Mathematics, and the results in Reading and Science fell from 2022. The Government attributed the deterioration to previous efforts.
