We will withdraw the ETS. First, coal, second, nuclear energy, and as a third pillar, complementing renewable energy sources, announced PiS.
The Law and Justice party organized a debate in Warsaw entitled "Thinking Poland - Alternative 2.0: An Energy Model for Low Energy Prices in Poland." "The law introducing the ETS in Poland dates back to 2015. We intend to submit a bill to withdraw this law from legal circulation, which will eliminate the basis for maintaining the ETS in Poland," said former Minister of State Assets Jacek Sasin.
"We intend to submit a bill to withdraw the EU ETS Act from circulation soon. Leaving the ETS is not a slogan, it's a realistic plan," announced Jacek Sasin, former Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State Assets in the PiS government. However, this would also mean lower revenues for the Polish budget from the sale of CO2 emission allowances.
