Piotr Nowina-Konopka has died at the age of 76. He was an activist of the democratic opposition in the Polish People's Republic, an advisor to President Lech Wałęsa, a long-time member of parliament and a former ambassador of Poland to the Vatican. Nowina-Konopka was awarded, among others, the Officer's Cross of the Order of Polonia Restituta. Information about the death was provided by Fr. Tomasz Dostatni, a Dominican.
