March is the peak season for domestically produced onions. The Agriculture and Food Agency of the Ministry of Agriculture assisted the Hengchun Dahe Vegetable and Fruit Production Cooperative in Pingtung County in exporting to Japan. The first batch of 19.2 tons of onions was loaded into containers and set sail on the 13th, and is expected to arrive in Okinawa on the 16th, expanding the export channels for Taiwanese onions.
