- Authorities registered a criminal case under the Drugs and Cosmetics Act, 1940, with officials contemplating charges under Section 105 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita carrying minimum 10 years rigorous imprisonment.
- Health Minister Khader said officials are tracking cancer patients from private hospitals who may have unknowingly purchased counterfeit drugs, clarifying that government facilities remain unaffected.
- Addressing the broader crisis, the State will host an all-India health conclave in Bengaluru during the third week of October, while Khader noted that Pfizer has not cooperated with the investigation.
