In Eastern Switzerland, the authorities have found too much harmful PFAS in beef. Despite too high values, the St. Gall authorities tolerate the sale of meat. The federal government strongly criticizes the procedure.
The Ministry of Agriculture and Land Rehabilitation, represented by the State Organisation for Veterinary Services, has announced the seizure of more than 107 tons of meat and its products that are not suitable for human consumption, during the Authority ' s intensive campaigns on meat markets in several provinces.
Despite the large-scale ban on sales, meat is still being sold in St. Gallen, which has too high PFAS values.
