View the 380 industrial sites that reject most of the PFAS in France

In a new study unveiled by the NGO Generations Futures, we discover the most emitting industrial sites in France in terms of PFAS eternal pollutants. Among them, we note the presence of the factory Inovyn Solvay de Tavaux (Jura), already pointed with a finger in 2023 but also two other sites.

By collecting public data, the NGO Generations Futures discovered that a small minority of French industrial sites are responsible for almost all releases of these chemicals.

"Le Monde" reveals the list of the main French emitters of "Eternal Pollutants". These industrial sites discharge into the water of the PFAS at levels that are worrying the experts.

The release of PFAS into the wild by Axplora Mourenx was mentioned at the Lacq Basin site monitoring committee on Wednesday, a meeting that did not reassure environmental defenders.

In a study published this Tuesday, April 1st, 146 industrial sites responsible for more than 99% of the releases to the water of PFAS, the eternal pollutants, have been identified by the NGO Générations futures. In Brittany, four sites are included in this list, two of which are in Ille-et-Vilaine among the most polluting in France.

According to the Future Generations association, the industrial site based in Oullins-Pierre-Bénite is one of the largest emitters of these pollutants, known as eternal.
