The prefecture of Haute-Savoie asked, this Wednesday, at the Tefal stove factory in Rumilly, to identify the origin of PFAS found near the site in order to define "a plan of action" to eliminate them. These substances, which are almost indestructible, have, for some, harmful effects on health.
The prefecture of Haute-Savoie has detected PFAS, eternal pollutants, in the air around the Tefal site of Rumilly. In a decree of 29 April, it requires the Seb group to identify the sources and a plan of action before the end of 2026. The industrial assures that its current releases remain very limited.
