- Jackson felt 'very awkward' about the 15-year delay, explaining: 'The deal was that Steven directs one and I direct another. Steven did his film, then for 15 years, I haven't made mine.'
- Working with creative partner Fran Walsh, Jackson confirmed the script is 'an active, real thing,' revealing he wrote portions at the festival: 'I'm getting back into the 'Tintin' world, and I actually love it.'
