Pet shop to open over 160 new UK stores in 5 years, full list
- On Tuesday, Jollyes Pets announced plans to open 160 new locations across the UK over the next five years, significantly extending the pet retailer's national footprint beyond its current 120 stores.
- The retailer is seeking premises between 3,000 and 7,000 square feet on retail parks or prominent roadside sites, with property agents Edgerley Simpson Howe and Savills managing the search across England, Wales and Scotland.
- Four branches will open imminently: Lincoln on Friday, May 15; Kidderminster on Friday, May 29; and Yeovil on Friday, June 19, with Derby launching in early summer.
- Jollyes Property Director Warren Bester said the company is "on a mission to make high-quality pet care accessible to all," delivering its "combination of low prices and pet expertise" to numerous additional towns and cities.
- Priority growth targets include major conurbations like Birmingham, Liverpool, Manchester and areas within the M25 around London; the firm could sign leases for 25 additional locations in 2026 if suitable sites become available.
