Person of Interest Detained in South Gate Homicide Investigation

A person of interest was detained Thursday in connection with a homicide investigation in a residential portion of South Gate. The investigation began at approximately 2 p.m. Thursday in the 9200 block of Karmont Avenue, between Firestone Boulevard and Southern Avenue, according to the Sheriff’s Information Bureau.
