Jets Re-Sign Cole Perfetti to Five-Year Contract Worth $30 Million
The 24-year-old forward had 32 points last season and will carry a US$6 million cap hit, the team said.
On Wednesday, the Winnipeg Jets re-signed center Cole Perfetti to a 5-year, $30 million contract, carrying a $6 million annual salary cap hit.
Perfetti was coming off a 2-year bridge contract worth $3.25 million but established career highs in 2024-25, recording 50 points and 32 assists as Winnipeg captured the Presidents' Trophy.
Over his 290 career regular-season games with the Jets, the Whitby, Ont., native has recorded 157 points and memorably scored the latest tying goal in a Game 7 in NHL history against the St. Louis Blues.
By finalizing this agreement, the team avoided a scheduled arbitration hearing on Monday, keeping Perfetti in Winnipeg through 2031 when he becomes eligible for unrestricted free agency.
While securing Perfetti, the organization continues navigating an offseason overshadowed by trade rumors involving goalie Connor Hellebuyck as the franchise looks to rebound after missing the playoffs last season.
