At a time when costs are increasing across the board nationwide, one local cooperative, for now, is holding firm on its pricing. During Tuesday afternoon’s Pennyrile Electric Cooperative Annual Board Meeting in Hopkinsville, President/CEO Alan Gates confirmed that customer rates would remain unchanged for the 2026-27 fiscal year — despite their own costs of line-per-mile increasing over the last 60 months.
