PennDOT is preparing for winds to recover roads in snow

The snow has stopped, but PennDOT still has crews out across the Susquehanna Valley, especially with the wind blowing some of that snow onto the roads.

Montoursville, Pa. — PennDOT has lifted the temporary restriction on certain vehicles from traveling on Interstate 80, Interstate 180, Route 15, and Route 220, in north central Pennsylvania.

200 PennDOT Trucks Clearing Roads After Snowfall

Penn-DOT crews are working around the clock to clear the roads after yesterday’s winter storm.  The department says it has deployed 200 plow trucks across the Commonwealth, with drivers taking 12-hour shifts removing snow.  Penn-DOT says those shifts will continue until all the roads are clear.  Officials are asking residents to stay home today if possible, to give crews as much room as they need.
